The “Scam Awareness Seminar” is designed to help families, seniors, and our community learn how to recognize, resist, and report fraudulent schemes that target vulnerable individuals. The sessions will cover the following:

  • Practical Presentation: Learn what scams look like, why they work, and the real impact they have on our community.

  • Real-World Examples: Hear about the most common scams — phone calls, phishing emails, romance traps, utility threats, and more.

  • Protection Checklist: Take home a simple guide with 10 proven ways to protect yourself and your loved ones.

  • Reporting Tools: Find out how and where to report suspicious activity to stop scammers in their tracks.

  • Q&A Session: Ask questions and get clear, helpful answers. 

The event is being organized by Rev. Anthony J. Mondaine, Sr. who works in the financial services industry.
