2010: IMA Hosts Graduates at Baccalaureate

Clergy and lay leaders from the Independence Ministerial Alliance led graduates from VanHorn, Chrisman, and Truman into the reserved seats  at St. Mark's Catholic Church for our annual Baccalaureate Service.  Families and friends who filled the church to near capacity heard three very good student faith reflections and a selection from each school's choir. An inspiring message was delivered by The Rev. Jill Standley Sullins a graduate of Truman High School, class of 1994. Huge "Thank Yous!" go to Donna Bergsten of First Presbyterian Church who organized our service again this year and to St. Mark's for hosting.

2009: A Busy Year Serving Our Neighbors

A TV crew videos a line of people who just received our IMA “In the shelter of the Lord” umbrellas that were distributed to those waiting all night in the drizzle outside of Community Services League.

The Civic Club Can Collection was a great expression of our City's concern for our neighbors who do not have enough to eat. The Salvation Army provided space to receive and sort the food for local pantries.
